Kahlen is 3 years, 11 months
We did this unit right before Halloween, so you’ll notice in a few of the pictures that she’s wearing her Halloween costume :)
Our X unit went like this:
“Except you be converted and become like little children, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven” ~ Matthew 18:3
It’s really cute to hear her recite this verse with its old-style language patterns. We talked about it a lot too, and I think she’s beginning to understand a little better what this is all about.
She has started coloring in the words that have an opening in them, like e, a, and o. The lovely olive green is her way of coloring it faster as to get onto the next thing.
Writing our sight word, little. She has a hard time making lowercase E’s, I usually have to help her. It’s a tricky one!
We did the Roll a Xylophone. I don’t think we’d tried one of these yet, she liked it a lot. Notice I put our laced xylophone near her so she could see what it was supposed to look like. She was so fast with the lacing this time, I didn’t have time to get a picture.Bottlecap letter matching, just uppercase this time
X dot page with more complex pattering (completely her idea).
School in costume is much more fun! (But a little too hot, she didn’t keep it on very long)
Still doesn’t love the drawing, but she puts up with it.
“Mommy, can we tape them on so they can go faster?”
We’ve been a little slack on piano, but when you have stuff from the rest of your house piled in front of the keyboard, it’s a little hard to practice :( We’ll get back to it soon, hopefully.
I think it’s about time for us to make some new playdough, especially since Nate likes it too (not that we’ve made much time for him to play with it, but he does like it nonetheless)
That’s all I have pictures for. I’m sure there was more, but that’s what I remember :)
