Wordless Wednesday–Family Pictures

Remember back in August when I posted about a friend doing an adoption fundraiser by raffling off some amazing prizes? Well, I won the photography package from Jenn Eileen Photography!  We were able to get our pictures done two weeks ago, and I’m very happy with how they turned out. I also had help from the stylish Amber over at The Closeteer, who accessorized Kahlen and I from Florida :-) Seriously, if you need help with anything fashion or clothing related, call on her mad skilz.

ANYway, here are some of the pictures, enjoy!

Wordful Wednesday–Kid’s Room

So, a few months ago, we decided to move Kahlen down into the basement. It was to give her a private space and so the boys could hopefully be more successful in sharing a room. Well, it didn’t work as well as we had planned. Shane has still been sleeping in the living room in the pack’n’play, and Kahlen’s “room” just isn’t meant to be a bedroom. It was this weird space between the stairs and the back of the house, which is the office.

It was going okay, but not ideal, until one night. Hubby usually gives the kids a blessing before going to bed. One night, he completely forgot to give Kahlen her blessing because she was in the basement. Add to that the fact that we’ve been giving Nate a small dose of melatonin with great success. So over the weekend, we moved her bed and dresser back upstairs. It’s going well so far, we’ve had a few later nights, but overall they’ve enjoyed being together again.

Wordless Wednesday–Viestenz-Smith Park

I mentioned on Monday that we went to the park where we got married for our anniversary last weekend. Here are a few more pictures that I got. The boys were not really cooperating with the picture thing, but my daughter looked simply beautiful.

Happy 11th Anniversary to me! (and hubby too, of course)

Our 11th wedding anniversary was last Saturday, we took the kids for a picnic at the park we got married at. We all had a good time and I even let Kahlen use my nice camera to take a few pictures of mommy and daddy. Digital cameras are the best…I said take a few, she took about 20 (okay, really more like 12, but it seemed like a lot).


Also, looking back to last year’s post, I realized I never did post the video I made. So here it is if you care, which I expect you don’t ;)

I love you, Timothy! Can’t wait to see what adventures the next year brings us.

Wordless Wednesday–Fun at the park

Wordless Wednesday–Camping In South Dakota

Last weekend, we took a family camping trip to South Dakota to meet up with my stepdad’s family for a little family reunion. Thanks to Buela (my mom) and her magic cabinet full of gear for all, we had a very enjoyable time camping with three littles and a husband who doesn’t love camping. We camped at a group campsite with about 40 people total. We even made it to Mount Rushmore. It is very pretty in the black hills and we can’t wait to go back again! It was also nice to escape the smoke from the High Park Fire, which I heard was really bad while we were gone.
