{The short answer}
I'm a slightly crunchy, homeschooling, bible-believing, crafty, mystery-shopping, cooking, happily married, blogging, selectively organized, direct selling, stay-at-home mom.
{The long answer}
I am a stay-at-home mom of three beautiful kiddos. My daughter is 9 ("Mom, I got it. Thanks though."), my son is six and a half ("Mom, I got it. Wait, actually I need help. Actually, can you just do the whole thing?"), and my littlest is almost four ("Don't talk to me! I was calling for MOMMY")
I've been married for 14 years to the best man ever. Even if he is a zipper (How can you weigh less now than when we got married? Seriously!?!)
I was homeschooled until I started college at age 17 and I plan on doing the same for my kids.
My husband and I have been going to the same church for the last 15 years, and plan on staying there until we get called to be somewhere else. If you ever have any (seriously, any) questions about my faith, I'm only too happy to listen!
I was born at home and so were my kids. Good thing that was the plan, too. My daughter was born in a snowstorm (3 feet of snow on the day I went into labor) and my son came so fast that it was just me home for the first 10 minutes of his life. The third one was so uneventful that I have no plans to write it down and my husband actually stayed in the room for the whole thing.
I love to craft! Give me just about any medium and I'm off and going. My favorite is card making, but I also sew (I'm learning to, anyway), make home decor (like these wall hangings), and try just about any tutorial that I think is neat (Hello, Pinterest!). I just bought a fancy new sewing machine (a Bernina, if you care), so I'm trying to "get my money out of it".
Yep, I mystery shop. Yep, I make money doing it. It's fun and a lot of work at the same time (like most of life, yes?) If you're interested, a good place to start is www.volition.com. They have a list of legit companies and a message board too.
I cook from scratch most nights and am always looking for new recipes that I can make my own. I used to post a new recipe every Tuesday (okay, almost every Tuesday), and I have a recipe index of the recipes I've already posted. I also menu plan nearly every month because it's such a great time and sanity saver during the week. You will now find my new recipes tucked into my menu plan on Mondays.
I have been a Premier Designs jeweler for two and a bit years now, and I absolutely love it! I love the products, the company, the customers, and the sister jewelers. I love the new adventures I get to have because of my business. I love the things I've learned about fashion, myself, and running a successful business in these first two years. Keep your eyes on the blog on Fridays for a bit of this as I'm always learning new things too!
